Naturally Open was founded in 2000 with a single-minded vision: to enhance the way people find and use information on the web. We consult with industry leaders, partner with key players, and develop our own innovative software solutions.
We've consulted with top online advertisers, search firms, content providers, and technology providers, on topics ranging from search interfaces to search algorithms.
Our flagship software solution is our innovative Search Panel, a radical redesign of the end-user interface for web search.
This panel makes searching so easy that it becomes a seamless part of the browsing process. And it employs a unique client-based architecture that supports any back-end, allowing the creation of custom panels in partnership with search engines, content providers, and e-commerce sites.
Naturally Open also pioneered the concept of microlinking individual pieces of information on a web page to provide a highly enriched, interactive browsing experience. The application of this technology to strategy game commentary and learning materials (such as chess and "go") is the subject of a US patent and has been adopted by Japan Economic Journal, a major Asian content provider; other applications are patent pending.
